In 1981 the family art shop and gallery was established and he joined as resident artist after studying at Southampton Institute of Art, work that he now combines with teaching art at Meoncross Shool.
The designs that are used for the 'Jolly Jack' and 'Bootie' series of cards display the recognised characteristics of his work - accuracy combined with humour.
Georgia (1983-1997), the Jack Russell, appears in all the cards.
